My first project for my Research + Process class. Spent the first few weeks doing research on a chosen topic, mine was the NYC Ballet. I learned a lot about the school's dark history, and made these sort of 'ironic' posters that visualize the recurring themes I kept seeing in my research; the physical trauma ballerinas put their bodies through, the sexual harassment they face by their own, and racial discrimination.

Rhinestone Cowboy was a project I did for my Visual Inquiry class. We were prompted to make something to go into our own 'Golden Record'. (The Voyager Golden Records are two phonograph records that were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977. The records contain sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth, and are intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form who may find them.) I chose to make an album full of songs that played significant roles in my childhood to now. Inside is a detailed explanation of each song and the memories I associate them, from the first song I remember hearing- to my favorite song of the time of making it. This was a super fun project! I loved being able to make something that was this personal to me.
Business cards I made for a class, the prompt was 'Irony.' In the border surrounding the cards is really small type that's supposed to be unreadable. It's supposed to 'ward off' the viewer from calling the number, and explains that if you do so you'll be haunted by a ghost. It was just a playful concept I came up with for fun!
This was a promotional poster I made my sophomore year for one of my favorite fashion designers, Robert Wun, this was based off of his Autumn/Winter collection. In his clothes, there are lots of overlapping pleats, gradient colors and repetition. I tried to translate the style of this specific collection, to the type and visual elements of this poster.
Gif I animated for class of the early life of an avocado seed.
